I've worked through them by slowing down a bit, and concentrating on breathing deeply and steadily for a little while.

I got my first stitch tonight - W9. I think I'd drunk too much because I was worried about the heat. I had to walk a bit and then breathe it out. Tonight was my second "practice" at W9!!!

When it comes on, stretch your arms above your head (you can keep running, no need to stop!) until it dissipates. It really does help....

Drink more before you set out.

If I got a stitch when I was little, my Mum told me to touch my toes. Consequently I would stop immediately wherever I was and touch my toes (often causing people to trip over trying to avoid me). I'm not sure if it really did help, or if Mum was just trying to take my mind off it!

Deep breathing, other than that run through it. (unfortunately)
