Our Parkrun is a 2.5k one way and 2.5 k return. We had a few dogs running this time. Some people live towards the turning point so take the opportunity to do the extra kms to get home.
I was overtaken by a young woman and her dashshound!
and to add insult to injury: they passed me again in the opposite direction while I was still running! You should have seen those little stumps hitting the pavement. Speedy Gonzales I would say.

It wasn't a problem at all Dave , just my pride that was hurt. Fancy being overtaken by a dashshound who not only reached the finish line before me and then managed to do an extra Km return before I even reached the finish line
Hehe I love watching the dogs In the park. It always amazes me how little dashounds get around so fast. I suppose they have to keep moving otherwise excess weight can give them a terrible dilemma 😀.
Fabulous! The junior school one of my offspring attended had two school dogs and it was a sight to behold when the basset took off across the playground with a small child on the other end of the lead.
And when G did her silver KC canine good citizen award, the poor dachshund had to do the Stay twice as at that level they have to stay in the position they were put and the examiner decided she couldn't tell the difference between a sit and a down!
