W4R2. Half way there. Had to stop to pick up after the dog half way through one of the five-minute runs, so tacked another 5 minute run onto the end. Felt good.
Misty rain, couldn't see much through my glasses, but pretty sure my ten-year-old dog was laughing at this being my idea of a running speed.

She's an old mixed breed, ten years old and about the size of a Cocker spaniel. I suspect that she can trot for half an hour at my current running speed with no problems. She comes on Highland hikes with us. I'm keeping a careful eye out for any symptoms of strain or exhaustion in her though.
Oh yes, that's good. We don't want to overtax our beloved dogs. I watched a clip on here yesters of a runner carrying a tired doggy 🙂
My husband used to run with our little terrier but they are only fit over a short distance. He had a heart murmur so we had to be v careful with him. He loved it though and was only a good lad when well exercised 🐕
I wear a cap and find the peak helps keep rain off glasses and sun (when it's out) off the face, there's also just a visor peak, they also help keep sweat out of the eyes..
Nothing, if you follow the thread, I was alluding to the owner having to carry the dog, hence I hoped it wasn't a labrador. I'd rather NOT carry a labrador! If I had the choice I would choose a chihuahua. That's all. I was not having a pop at labs
Your post has inspired me. I'm at the start of week 4 and after attempting run 1 and run 2 and failing miserably to complete them I have decided to stretch week 4 out over two weeks! I can do the first five minute section but the last bit defeats me. Resting tomorrow and I'll have another go on Tuesday...
