morning all. Good news!!! I have just completed W8R1... a full 28 minutes of running. I'm incredibly proud of myself. BUT today the back of my calf, down to my ankle seized up for the last two minutes. Now it is very stiff, I'm gently trying to stretch it out. Any tips? Should I be super worried about this??? I'm so close to finishing....

Give it rest, maybe an extra day off, then gentle movement, rub some cream in? hopefully it will fade away..

Get some ice on it. Get your leg up when you can and play some ice over it. Ice is fab for reducing inflammation. Keep off your feet as much as poss. You might need to take a few days off?
When you do get back just run nice and slowly. Make sure you are well hydrated pre run, not just on your run ☺ Take care and I hope you'll be better soon

OHHHHH...I had that - called it tight calves ...slow down, take an extra rest day and after run stretches are really important......well done on getting to 28 mins - a real achievement 😀
