Lace up those shoes and get out the door. You'll never know what you can do until you try and you don't want to let your daughter down!

Let us know how you get on.

Well done for taking that first step! The C25k programme really is amazing and completing it is one of the best decisions you'll ever make! Go slow, stretch, take your rest days and you'll soon be a runner! Honestly, so many of us were exercise phobic and never thought we could get through the programme, let alone love running! But we do! You can too!

Motivation won't be a problem if you stick with the forum. It's honestly one of the best places on the internet. It's full of all types of runners who are the most incredible, inspirational people you will ever meet! Post here are each run and you will soon be not just running for yourself but running for us here too. Use the forum for advice, encouragement and to let everyone celebrate your successes with you! We'll be with you every step of the way. :)

Go for it. Brilliant programme. Before you know it you will be grinning from ear to ear with the progress you make week by week. I haven't exercised regularly for years, 48 and overweight and really taken to the whole experience and the fabulous supportive forum. Let us know how you and your daughter get on.

We all did the same thing - but you'll be chuffed when you do it. I just did w7r3 and I can still remember how desperate I felt in those early weeks - hang in there. Do t do too much - slow and steady and slower again if necessary.

so pleased that you went and did it!! I run with my kids and that has worked well - my sons find it very easy, my 12 yr old daughter, less so - but that fact that they volunteered to join me when I said I was going to do this, has meant that there has never been a second when I considered stopping.. and for that reason I also told lots of friends I was doing this as I thought it would help motivate me because I knew they would ask ho I was getting on!

Well done, you!!
