I was a bit daunted by moving up to W2'to be honest. Four W1 runs and o wasn't finding it easy, but we did it and I made it all the way round. Ankle and back pain dragged me down a bit at the half way point, but I managed to keep going and complete all 6 running sections (very slowly!). Even cheered on by a lovely lady passing us on her bike.
Now planning where we will tweak the run when we need to in week 3 to make it a bit longer, which has to be a good sign Thanks everyone, your encouragement and posts are so helpful and remind me that I'm not the only 50 something overweight non-runner out there feelings self-conscious and a bit sorry for herself!
Heck no. I can't do anything about the over 50 bit and the weight loss bit is in your hands and not just dependent in running / exercise but I can pretty much guarantee that if you stick with this you'll be fitter and more confident pretty soon.
You're most certainly not the only one! Well done on completing the first of week 2. It always feels as though you're 'not ready' for the next week, but whoever put this amazing programme together was obviously a genius because it works! Good luck with run 2
Well done!! It was hard but you pushed through and completed it! Slow is best! Keep going, you'll start to see and feel such a difference in yourself and you soon won't be able to imagine life without running.
