Anyone suffers/suffered from this? Any ideas of how to ease the problem?

Resting it.

Rolling your foot over a cold bottle of water or a tennis ball will help. It'll hurt when you do it but persevere. You can also do some heel drops & calf raises. There are a few other stretches which might help you.

My podiatrist has taped my foot up today to help mine too.

I'd also perhaps check with GP to make sure that's definately what it is (if you haven't already).

Hope that helps 😊

I use a bottle of water that's been frozen, the Roll Recovery R3, the foot log, heel drops and calf raises.

In addition to what Noaky12 said, I stretch it out before I even get out of bed in the morning by resting my foot on my knee and pulling the toes back. I also have supportive shoes -even my slippers.

PF has different root causes so it would help to find out what's causing yours so you can find the best treatment.

I have insoles in my running shoes designed to help this which are great for the short-term. (Boots do a good version). I used to have to use them in all of my shoes but now I've weaned myself off them and just use them as a preventative in my running shoes and walking boots. Hope this helps you!

Hi. I suffered from that. I had to stop running for 3 months. I got insoles with arch support and a cushioned heel. For both my everyday shoes and runners. Now I'm Finally week 2 of c25k. I find the treadmill easier on my heel

The doc gave me exercises to doand suggested taking ipobrofin before a run

Invest in a good pair of running shoes and everyday shoes too. I bought shoes from hotter with a heel for every day shoes

They are really comfy and having a heel takes some of the pressure off. I hope thathelps.its frustrating I know.i

Look at patient .info for a good factsheet re plantar fasciitis, it will help you decide if this is what you have. I am frustrated with this at present in one foot, slowly getting better and possibly triggered with a new pair of flat sensible shoes for work! Fortunately does not affect running just sore the day after.

I've had pf and found some exercises helped, calf stretches and sitting with your feet out in front of you, loop a towel around your foot and pull the towel towards you, it will stretch your foot. Look on YouTube there's loads of stretching videos on there for pf. I hope it feels better soon, just hang on in there!

I finally graduated and two weeks later I think I may have plantar fasciitis. I've been resting my foot and doing stretches. It had eased considerably, so one month on I thought I'd try and have a short run. Payed for it the next morning.

Will I ever be able to run again? Did you recover enough to start running again? Never thought I would say it, but I am missing running.
