Soap-box Snippet....

Yesterday, motivated by Irish Princess's post about where we keep our running stuff, I tidied, sorted and cleaned an entire room. Whilst having water breaks I was browsing the forum.

I never fail to be beset by a huge range of emotions, by the posts I read. Inspired, motivated, encouraged, humbled, entertained and moved, all in turn.

Yesterday, was no different. I read a post, the message of which was so powerful, that it stayed with me, through the night, and into the early hours.

For me the predominant message that came through, was all about choice. For me also, choice is a major component of this forum.

All of us making choices, some minor, some major, easy or difficult, and some, quite literally life-saving choices.

Thinking about choices, I picked this snippet up, which I am sure others will have seen, but I will post it anyway.

Choice. We all have it. We should use it.

"No one saves us but ourselves.

No one can and no one may.

We ourselves must walk the path"

If you choose to do just one thing today, please read Rignold's post from yesterday, "Some Good News" and his past post, "2 Year Runniversary".

Okay..I am off the Soap-box now :)

The running charity for the homeless is a fantastic idea. Well done whoever thought of it and set it up. I saw a young homeless man sleeping rough outside a supermarket on my run last night. He had that very thin and fragile look you associate with drug addicts

I'd never have thought of trying to get someone in his situation running. Really like that idea.

So many things out there...I never realised that act of running would open my eyes to so much new information :)

It seems the easy choice is to do nothing, make no changes to your life because taking on this and other challenges is hard.  But the rewards are so worth it both physically and mentally and like that post yesterday, life changing
