I do sometimes worry that I come across as a bit of a ftiness nerd. One of those obsessive health nut types. My wife occasionally makes chunterings to this effect. Nothing could be farther from the truth, I am sure. Or I was. Until I had a look at the bookshelves beside my bed while pondering my favourite running books.

What surprises me the most, is discovering that Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote a book O_O :D

Several, in fact, and his 'New Encyclopaedia of Modern Bodybuilding' is considered the definitive work on the subject.

I'm not sure where you find the time - or do you read whilst doing your lunges?

You don't have books beside your bed? Not many inches of wallspace in our house without bookshelves tbh. I bought a piture for Christmas and then we realised there was absolutely nowhere we could hang it.

Just one... the one I am reading currently.

Cookery books in the kitchen, all my art/craft and music books in my Studio and our others are mostly in our Library room.:)

Heh. My husband is similar, particularly any running books that have a philosophical turn.

Now I'm bloody reading them. Just finishing Robin Harvie's Why We Run.

I also then realised that all the rest of the clutter is tubes of voltarol, packets of codeine and ibuprofen, rolls of KT tape, dead Garmins etc. I'm going to try and find a picture from a few years ago, because I am curious myself as to what was on my shelves back when i was just fat and drunk. Elizabeth David and empty glasses, probably.

Most of the furniture in our house is bookshelves....Have only got a few running books yet though, and may use the kindle for those more as we don't have space for more shelves! Any book recommendations? You...a nut type? Never!!๐Ÿ˜‰

We need fitness nerds. They read so others don't have to, then we trust your advice :)

No, don't have any books beside the bed! I go to bed to sleep! Do my reading & media viewing in the lounge..๐Ÿ˜Š

Don't have any running books, only refer to the online running for fitness book as needed. But, have loads of books on classic MGB cars....

But, always value your expert advice Rig, so keep it coming! A mine of info! I just switch off when you start spouting numbers & data๐Ÿ˜€

I suppose all that reading keeps you out of mischief! like falling out of trees! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜€

Always have books beside my bed. Then when they stack up too much I put them away. Don't have any running books yet. I don't think I'll ever be that keen but you never know! ๐Ÿ˜‰
