I did my W8R3 yesterday, woohooo!

It occurred to me that I said in my head 'only 8 minutes left to go'

Not many weeks ago I was stressing about running for 8 minutes at all.

I am hitting the times for running nonstop but am nowhere close to 5k in half hour.

I think I will concentrate on speeding up rather than longer times.

Can't believe this works!

I am on Week 8 run 3 today or tomorrow. Very windy today so will be gym if I run today! I too can do 30 mins but not 5k. I am sure we will hit 5k over the next few weeks by gradually increasing the pace but I am not going to rush, better to feel comfortable I think and avoid injury. It is amazing, as you say, that we were worried about running for a full 8 mins a few weeks ago!

I start week 8 run 1 today and agree with your post re 8 mins left.

I currently run at the moment to complete 5k in approx 36 mins.

I feel I just want to get through to graduation.

After that my next goal is 5k in 30 mins .

Go for it and keep posting.

I have found the comments and support from this forum has been inspirational.

Well done on your progress. It does give you a tremendous feeling as we keep ticking of the runs.

Well done... And don't worry about speed at this stage - focus on going the length of time. You can work on speed later...

I am slow, very slow, I don't actually consider what I do running more of a jog, but I am just so pleased to be out there that I'm not actually worried about completing the 5 k, I just want to be able to run continuously for 30 mins. A few weeks ago the thought of 8 minutes terrified me too, it really is a brilliant programme. Well done.
