W5R1, scared of W5R2!

The first run yesterday was great, a really good run (and you can see Charlie enjoyed it too); I was on such a high from it I've been looking forward to the next run. But... I've just read the plan for it.... 8 minutes? EIGHT MINUTES????

You thought 90 seconds in week 2 would be difficult now look at you, ready to run 8 minutes. Take it steady its not all about fitness but about mind games. Tell yourself you can/ will do this. In 4 weeks time you will be thinking why did I worry about w5r2.

The program works you just have to believe in it. Good luck. When completed you will say "wow I feel good for that".

Just like the rest...slow and steady. we have, most of us all experienced the , ' what the heck.... 8 minutes? 'syndrome.

You can this, Charlie thinks so, and so do we ! :)

I know, I know, but EIGHT minutes?

Besides, if I was going any slower I'd be going backwards!

Would you prefer to jump directly to 30 minutes? XP

Remember that in W3 you managed to go from 90 seconds to 3 minutes; that was a 100% increase. This time it is only a 60% increase; you'll fly through those 8 minutes. ;)

Good point, well made! I'll let you know how it went in an hour...eeeek!

Well done on the first run of week 5 I found going at a slower pace helped me and at the end of the first 8 MINS felt like I could run a bit longer.

Good luck with run 2 and don't look at run 3......

in reply to Butchdingle

I just looked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mass hysteria up North. Holy cow.

Thank you Butch! Just back from run 2 and still recovering 😊😊😊 Hope you have a good run today!

It wasn't that bad, was it? ;)

Very well done!

Now try not to worry too much about R3; as scary as it might seem, you have it in your reach and the feeling of achievement it will give you is indescribable. :)

I wasn't worried at all Saverio, until I saw what it entailed. Crap.

Newbie_Pam I am sure WE can do it, will see in about 6 hrs but I am feeling confident, think if I do manage to do run 3 then I may have to celebrate with a pint... of water of course!!

Ooops... :P

Anyway it is only 4 minutes more running than R2; you're going to smash it!

You know the mantra, don't you? "Slow and steady" ;)
