So... After the disastrous first attempt at Wk7 R1 I took on board all your comments, put Friday's bad run behind me and woke up this morning with fresh determination! Most importantly I made sure I had plenty of water and wow what a difference!!! I ran at a pace I felt I could sustain for 25 minutes - which to be fair I felt I did on Friday - and did it no problem at all ๐๐พ the only real difference was being properly hydrated.
So fellow C25K'ers if there is one thing my running journey has taught me it is always make sure you are well hydrated before your run (not too much as no-one needs frequent pee breaks!) it won't prevent a bad run day altogether but it sure does help! ๐
I went a bit bonkers thinking "must drink enough" "must drink" - then spent the next few hours constantly popping to the loo!! not easy when you;ve seized up after the effort!?
I too had a really bad run week 7 run 1. I've since made a second attempt and done it. I lowered my pace as I keep hydrated anyway. Thanks for reminding everyone. Is there a way you can link the post with all the advice on for people like me to see and see if there is anything we could pick up on, thanks. Well done for not giving up, keep it up x
