I ran 9k today (albeit in 3 lots of 3k with 2 min walks in between and slower than a slug with salt sprinkles).
If I update my Facebook nobody will give a damn, but at least here you'll have an idea of how chuffed I am.
Woo hoo!

Oh! And I encountered another runner near the end of my run. First time I've ever passed another human being on my route. Was odd!
Congratulations, torta. You're right, only other runners understand the absolute joy of a new PB or a new distance
That is awesome! I had a crazy "I can do anything" day in week 7 and kept running for 5K to c if I could! 9K would be like a marathon to me, how r ur feet and legs? Hope u can rest after that epic run! π¦πππ₯
Non runners really don't understand us we should all add each other on FB and when we post about our runs we would get loads of likes and comments and our friends would maybe look twice ! Well done for that I am trying to work towards 10k will be doing 3 x 17 mins this week ! Happy Running !
Awww I'll b pals w u on Facebook and mortify you fb pals by not saying great things about your achievement! Well done xxxx
Oh, yeah ! Go you! Great accomplishment -well done . Slower than a slug with salt sprinkles? *LIKE*
I get what you mean about Facebook... Many people, except those who know how important running is to you, only react when they think something cute/awful/shocking (and preferably shareable) has occurred. So try saying something like "Found a cute kitty with three heads at KM 5 today," "Had to stop halfway through my run to retrieve my leg from the jaws of a passing pit bull," or "Met my local UKIP candidate on a 9K run this morning and convinced him that his energy would be better used doing C25K". THEN people will read it.
My most 'liked' running Facebook status was about the time I nearly broke my neck tripping over a gigantic lump of roadkill guts. I was at the end of a long run, gritting my teeth and looking straight ahead and didn't really notice it. Don't know what it was, it was too mashed.
My friends liked that.
I didn't.
Woooo well done. I like that, slower than a slug with salt sprinkles that's is so me.
Whoop whoop! Well done. We so get it here!
Well done - cracking distance
Ha ha, I know what you mean. No-one will glaze over or change the subject on here. Tee hee
9k! That's so very nearly 10k you know! You'll nail that one next time round I expect. Or it could just sneak up on you when you least expect it
I can understand why you're so pleased. It's a brilliant achievement post C25k and not easy, so well done!
Take care and go slowly with your progression. Slow is GOOD!!! Don't knock it. Running and walking it is the right way to get there. A walk will always help you get to the finish
Well done ! it's a brilliant feeling isn't it.
Well done πππ
Well done!! It doesn't matter that you walked, who made the rule that your not aloud to have walking breaks if you need them?? Its a great achievement so give your self a huge pat on the back
WOOOOHOOOO! Fantastic π
Well done - a great distance!
there is Beyond C25K group on facebook who would be very interested and supportive
