Sod's law

Yesterday I was so chuffed with myself for getting up early and running 5k before work. Only to trip and sprain my ankle on the two minute walk between my car and the building where I work. Hope you can all send me some speedy healing vibes!

Can completely sympathise with you. I sprained my ankle 5 weeks ago walking into a chair and I was only two weeks into the programme. I hadn't realised how painful and how long a sprained ankle takes to heal. Hope yours isn't too bad and you soon recover. 😊

Thanks Farawaytree - hopefully not too much of a bad one. Hope you get well soon and are doing lots of rest, ice, compression and elevation!

Not so awful, just frustrating really. At least I did myself less harm falling over when walking rather than running.....

Good point! It could have been worse! Hope you recover quickly😀

Gah! That's so annoying! I hope you get better soon. I did something equally silly recently (finished a 5k, then walked into my bicycle pedal at impressive speed) and now I'm waiting on xray results... bummer! I suppose the lesson to learn from this is to never walk, only run!

I like your thinking - are you sure it wasnt the bike trying to sabotage your running efforts? Good luck with the Xrays
