Having had an enforced break due to bruised shins, and doing week three twice because I was concerned I wouldn't be able to manage a five minute run, I've just completed the final run of week 4 without mishaps!! I've discovered that the answer is to pace yourself - ie run more slowly - especially in the first couple of runs per session. I bought a new pair of trainers after the shin episode; and have rewarded myself with a new running outfit. The crocuses are out in the park - looking forward to week five!

You did buy running shoes didn't you? Not just trainers? They cost a fortune but are absolutely necessary to protect your feet and legs. Good luck with week 5, indeed Spring is sprung!
