Don't know, but mine hurt when I run on the treadmill too. Annoying isn't it!

Could be your shoes, length of stride/length of treadmill. I find the treadmill makes you keep a constant pace and your position doesn't change much so you are probably finding new muscles
Thank you. I might invest into a pair of proper running shoes, after Christmas .
