...we've had our ups and downs - wasn't really ready for some of the ups but, as they say, 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!' and I'm really looking forward to my last c25k week with the lovely Laura!!
Ditched the slow crawl wee hills today, not least because it's holiday time up here & there were people (lots of them) on my now regular woodland route...not wanting to do the err, excuse me, errr, COMING THROUGH thing, over & over, I went for the long gentle up, followed by the very lovely loooong back down again, several times, so avoided most of the walkers and was able to concentrate more on pace...turned out to be my best run to date. It's still really tough when I set off though...feel like I'm creaking (think of the giant powering up in the Jason and the Argonauts movie...folk of a certain age!).
Helped that I had a gear change too...new bottoms that don't inch down, made all the difference to my rhythm, I can tell you!!
Finally...I'm sure that I wouldn't have made it this far without you fellow c25kers & grad's...you are wonderful. Thanks
