Back to thawing vegs with my legs

I posted on Thursday about my little hamstring incident. Spent Thursday afternoon and evening with frozen veg pressed against my leg. Friday with compression tights, but no veg. Saturday and Sunday I felt fine. So today I went out for a short run to see how things are.

I'll spare you the verbiage. Things aren't good. I'm back to thawing veg. Have left a voice mail and my mobile number on a physio's mobile answering service. Cheerfulness will be resumbed once pain subsides.

Oh that's sad news Tomas. Take it easy and see what the physio says. I don't know ... it's all colds, viruses and injuries at the moment ...

I hope the physio can help you get back to full fitness.

Sorry to hear about the injury, hopefully your physio will be able to help and advise. Take it easy in the mean time (not easy when you have this running bug, I know).

Commiserations, chap. Thursday was a bad day for runners as my knee went then too. I've been strapped up in a compression brace and gobbling ibuprofen religiously. Had hoped to get out again this evening for a tentative easy 5 but it twinged nastily as I got out of the car just now so that puts paid to that idea.

Ugh, bad news indeed. I hope the physio can give you swift treatment and good advice but it will need time to heal. You've done already done 20k in training so you have a good base there, and time is on your side. Hopefully you'll be OK for your HM. Take care and don't push yourself.

That's bad news Tomas. Do as the physio tells you, and make sure you get plenty of rest. You can do all the strengthening exercises and stretching whilst waiting to get back out running. It'll be over quickly, I hope.
