Just saying hello, started the program on Thursday so completed run 2 this morning.

Got a few achey bits and bobs but feel reasonably good.

Not done any real exercise for 15 or so years and thought it about time I stopped getting bigger. It's not easy but I had to do something.

Anyway actually looking forward to run 3 on Monday morning lets see how it goes.....

Welcome and congratulations on making the decision to sort yourself out. You won't regret it and I detect first stage addiction syndrome already. This is a great plan and a wonderfully supportive forum, which will make changing your life very easy. Just follow Laura's advice and you will be fine. I would advise stretching after each run nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/... which seems like overkill, but soon becomes part of your routine and helps you avoid injury.

Good luck. Keep running, keep posting.

Hi best of luck and welcome to the community! Only two pieces of advice I would give you are: 1) get a decent pair of running shoes, 2) The programme is designed to get you running for 30 mins by the end of it, which is quite an achievement. Don't be put off if you don't make 5k or if you aren't running that fast. That comes with time. Hope it helps!

Welcome to the community. Great choice in taking up this plan you will soon be hooked and hating your rest days for stopping you running.

keep posting your progress and you will find a great amount of support from people of all levels here from graduates at higher levels to begginers just starting their journey.

We are all in this together and we will all succeed sooner or later if we keep trying

Hi Windie, welcome to C25k. As a recent arrival myself, I can assure you that this is one of the most supportive communities you'll find. Enjoy.

Hi Windie, you are very welcome here! You have the hang of it already. There are only 2 types of days - Running days (and reading this forum) and Rest days (when you just read this forum and look forward to running). It is called CRAPAS - C25K Running and Posting Addiction Syndrome. Very contagious....

Well done and this will change your life. I love it cause I can start and stop right at my door and fit a run in when I can( which is great when you work full time and have hubby, three kids and dog to work around). Enjoy your next run. This programme is fab and it really does work. The pod casts and Laura are amazing and make a huge difference at the start. Good luck and do keep us informed of your progress.

Hi Windie

I am actually quite envious of you. You have such exciting times ahead! Not that they finish when you graduate but there's never anything quite like those first weeks of discovering the joys of running!

Many thanks for the kind welcome.

I see lots of people are completing the runs at the moment and that is encouraging.

I wasn't able to run today, had a bout of Deli-belly over the weekend and I have no energy. Very frustrating the run will be done very soon though.
