Was worried about wearing them outside cos if not comfy wouldn't be able to take back to shops but this morning thought would just go for it Ran through all the muddy patches in park I usually try to avoid, didnt slip once and felt like wee girl getting shoes all dirty Did 4miles in 45 mins so really pleased as race in May is 5 miles so feel well on track Feet felt fine so am a happy bunny
Just ran 4miles my longest distance yet and in... - Couch to 5K
Just ran 4miles my longest distance yet and in new trail shoes my 85 yr old dad bought me !
So what are these miracle shoes that put wind under your heels? They look very swanky indeed
I wanna pair, I want em now!!! Sob
Love the shoes- even nicer now they have mud on
Well done on your run- great distance. I am going out in a mo and trying to go a bit further on a new route- feeling nervous!
Hi hules It's funny how we get nervous when doing something new I think it's because we are worried in case we can't manage it and class run as a failure -- which is silly Almost how we felt at beginning of each week doing c25k I am sure you will do extra distance and if not there is always the next run
Wow, well done you! Niiiice shoes!
Thanks Jen Neon pink with neon green soles so husband says if I do slip and land on my back at least someone will see me in the dark ! Would never dream of spending that sort of money on normal shoes in the first place ---but then to run through mud This running def releases the child in you
That's brilliant! I tried out my new trail shoes last Sunday for the first time and I am rather in love with them! How funny that after starting C25K I now get excited about things like this. Happy running - you are well on track for your race.
Hi jelly mum how did you get on when you when back to your normal running shoes ? Did it feel different ? I guess what I am asking is it easy
to go between the two and the different surfaces What made you buy trail shoes - do you have race in mind of just better suited to local area You are so right when saying very weird to be so excited about runs and shoes and mud and .... in fact all things runnng ! Wondered what I talked about before It kind if takes over big part of your life
I went for trail shoes as there are lots of nice walks and coast paths around here that I fancied running on - I was finding that on some of the muddier or stoner paths I was slipping a bit. Plus my normal running shoes are an impractical white. The trail shoes just felt great right away - like I'd had them for ages, although like you I plumped for Asics as my others are the same make. I really felt a difference with the grip on them. Didn't have a problem at all though going back to my usual shoes. The plan at the moment is two mostly road runs each week (5kish) and then a longer trail run on the weekend - no races in mind yet, but I'm not ruling it out for the future. For now I'm just having fun!
