Hi everyone, today was my first post graduation park run. All my previous park runs have been a mix of running with some walking. Today I managed to run all the way, which I was amazed at. My time was 41:25 which is my personal best, as a celebration took a photo in my graduation T shirt and have posted it as my profile pic. I know my times are slow, but as long as I am doing my best each week I am happy, one day I may get closer to the elusive 30 mins!!
Parkrun PB: Hi everyone, today was my first post... - Couch to 5K
Parkrun PB
A pb that's great! I keep checking the times for my local park run, it's my goal to complete the podcasts and then one day try the park run. Don't think I'll be brave enough for a while yet though, do all my weeks in a gym, need the treadmill to keep my pace steady.
Clumsy2 - I have done the park runs right throughout my journey, in fact, my week1 run 1 run was at my first park run and my time was 46:39 I have done 6 or 7 since and today was the first time doing it without any walking and my PB time. There are all abilities there, so I would encourage anyone of any ability to go and have a go x
Lovely pic. Very happy for you.
hope you have registered your club as "NHS Couch to 5k"
Nice one Katee. I do prefer a personal icon to the automatic ones. Congratulations on the PB.
wow you are such an inspiration katee, congrats on your pb x
Very well done - isn't it a great feeling? And you soooooo suit that t-shirt!
thanks Malcy I would prefer it is 2 sizes smaller though LOL x
Congrats katee...keep up the good work!!!
Congratulations katee. You have done so well. I am impressed at joining a park run on week 1. I wouldn't dare to do that. But you have inspired me to have a go so will see if I can sign up for next week.
Keep up the good work.
Hi Susan, the thing about a parkrun is that it isn't a race as such, but a timed race which you can do and see hopefully, an improvement each time you go. I listen to my podcast to the end,and then just carry on doing what I feel like doing, being that intervals of running and walking, or as I did this week, continued running (slowly) to the end. Would highly recommend it
well done on your PB i'll be doing my first park run on Saturday and really looking forward to it.I didn't know you could register as nhs couch to5k but will look into it
Congratulations on your PB and wear your T shirt with pride.
great picture, and well done you that is fantastic that you just kept going...onwards and upwards eh
