Have now run round the local route twice, with a bit of walking, checked the results table and reckon I could probably manage it, plus it'll earn me points on my PMI and need some more to claim for physio.
Wish me luck,

Good Luck ...... & at least you are familiar with your route..... I'm no where near brave enough to attempt my park runs until after graduation and a couple of speed runs from 5k+
Good luck I did my first parkrun last week and really enjoyed it, everyone was very friendly and despite not knowing the course and being last! I did it in 47mins 35secs faster than I expected. Going again tomorrow weather permitting.
Thanks ebony2012, I'm on week 7, so it's a bit naughty as I haven't graduated, but incuding the 5 minute warm up and warm down, I reckon I covered it in about 40 minutes, but that wasn't running constantly, not that it matters I suppose, I must check the forcast though, I wouldn't want anyone catching hypothermia, waiting for me!!
