I suffer with great discomfort of the left side of abdomen after meals. My haemotologist says it is nothing to do with cll. Is it true?

Perhaps it is time for a second opinion from a doctor who see a lot of CLL? If you post your location others may suggest CLL doctors in your region.

Probably not,its sounds like you have lost your faith in your haemotologist

It could be an enlarged Spleen which is common with CLL patients. Treatment often reduces the swelling but my consultant always checks my Spleen at every appointment. My GP felt a swollen Spleen before I was diagnosed officially which alerted him to give me a blood test which confirmed CLL.

If your present Dr thinks its nothing to do with CLL then ask your GP what happens next. Its worth keep on about it otherwise you just end up not wanting to eat and not enjoying your meals. Perhaps its a problem with your liver or your digestion system. You are not going to know until its investigated, good luck.

discomfort on the left side of your abdomen after eating meals can have something to do with cll, if you have a swollen spleen. I would advise you to find another hematologist/oncologist who is willing to do the necessary test to find the cause if your current dr is not willing.
