Hello

I was diagnosed in December 2009 after routine blood tests.

Have been watch and wait since then but my lymphocytes are rising and platelets and Hgb dropping and am having night sweats and fatigue.

My consultant said I am getting closer to treatment.

I am aged 52.

Hi welshswan, welcome thank you for your posts, You are in good company, sorry to hear treatment is approaching , I;m sure a sore arm is all you;ll feel from your jab, I worry more about the infectious people in the surgery when I visit, is that paranoid or do we all? I am glad you found us. looking at your avatar I thought you may be in my neck of the woods but the find people gadget says your a fair bit away but still the 2nd closest to me. You're right Nick - No adverse reaction today just a sore arm! I feel just like you do in the

surgery and am convinced I am going to become badly infected when I leave. Maybe we're

both paranoid!

Although I now live in England I am welsh and was born in Swansea and lived in Llanelli for the first 22 years of my life. I used to spend lots of time in Cardiff and had some amazing times there in the pubs and clubs on hen nights and rugby internationals.

My avator reflects that you can take the girl out of Wales but you can never take the welsh out of the girl lol.

Thanks so much for all you do for us. It's so good to have someone like you bringing us all together.

I haven't been able to make any Cllsa meetings apart from one a few years back in Oxford but hopefully I will attend some next year.

Yes I like the location gadget - it looks like I'm in between 2 others in Southampton and Portsmouth way.
