I presume that your Mom is getting the Zarzio to boost neutrophils due to treatment?

Hello Smakwater yes I guess really , she got some more results today b2microglobin was 4.75 and the m protein was detected in her protein electroforisis. Honestly confused she feels terrible in the morning till 6:00 and after 6 she’s 😊

Sounds pretty common. The zarxio should get the neutrophils going within a few hours. She should start feeling better after her bone marrow stress level calms back down which should be inside of 24 hours.

Maybe someone else on the forum reading this who takes regular G-csf injections could chime in to help confirm or correct me on this.

I hope she get through it quickly, as I know it was very uncomfortable for me too.

The b2microglobin result shows that her CLL is active - which you knew, hence the need for treatment. You should ask your Mum's specialist about the relevance of the M protein found in the serum electrophoresis test, with this site giving you some background on the purpose of the test. urmc.rochester.edu/encyclop...

As Smakwater notes, the G-CSF Zarzio injections boost the neutrophil count and hence her white blood cell count, importantly reducing her risk of infection. Most of us respond fairly quickly to them, but how many your Mum will need and how frequently, depends on her bone marrow's responsiveness. It looks like your Mum is being well looked after.

Thank you so much for your response

A quick update we went to doctors on Thursday she didn’t comment at all on the m protein we needed to stay in the hospital cause her potassium was low so she needed an ivy for that. She told her stop venetoclax and ibruvica for a couple days her follow up blood work is on the 4th September.

She gave us flagyl 500 mph and ciproxin 500 for 7 days

I honestly was terrified to ask anything I’m sorry to actually say that but I was literally ready to have a panic attack.

She still feels weak in the mornings less than before , her blood pressure is low only in the afternoon she is better and is more like herself.

My mom has had cll for years and even throughout the therapy her b2 microglobin was always low but the doctor didn’t comment on that either 🙁

Thanks again to everyone it’s nice to actually talk to people who know how this is for the patient and the family ♥️
