I have CLL TP53 P17 Del. I am on watch and wait and have been for 8 years. I have some pain in my arm and rib area, and the GP has done a blood test that was OK apart from raised protein. Is this related to CLL? I have no ther symptoms apart from a bit of tiredness, but I am 82 so might be old age! MM

How much is your protein raised? It's more usual to see a fall in protein with CLL, as immunoglobulins/antibodies are proteins and they tend to drop over time with CLL.

I also had a slow increase in my total protein over time, and found out that I have a monoclonal gammopathy (unusually high amount of a certain type of protein, which in my case is IgG). It's uncommon but is associated with CLL, and they're just watching it for now. They also considered and ruled out multiple myeloma for me.
