Little purple patches

I have little purple patches on my hand. Are these related to my CLL?

Do they look like any of the photos in this article? medicalnewstoday.com/articl... As the article explains, "A purpura rash occurs when small blood vessels burst, causing blood to pool under the skin. They appear as small, reddish-purple spots just beneath the skin’s surface."

If your purple patches match those in the photos and they fade through black to grey before disappearing over a week or so, then they are most likely due to your platelets dropping low enough so that you get these tiny bleeds causing them, probably after bumping the back of your hands. I note you are still in watch and wait, so you need to get this checked out by getting in touch with your consultant. Meanwhile, what was your last platelet count and how long ago was that taken? Sometimes drugs can cause your platelet count to drop, compounding what might be due to your CLL. When are you due for your next blood test? If you don't have any other bruising happening, it's probably not a reason to be too concerned, but perhaps you might need to be careful during any contact sport

If the patches don't blanch when compressed, it might be bleeding under the skin. Check your platelets.

Like the 2 responses above, you need to show a doctor and get your blood checked, platelets and clotting factors. Check rest of skin as well.

Yes, get these on my arms, mainly --- low platelets - CLL, Imbruvica. They fade in a few days.
