The aim of this worldwide study is to assess the safety and neutralizing activity of AZD5156 for prevention of COVID-19 in immunocompromised individuals compared to AZD7442 (EVUSHELD) in 3200 immunocompromised adults and adolescents 12 years of age or older (weighing at least 40 kg) in approximately 20 countries.

There are four sites in the UK, one in Manchester, two in London and another in Nottingham. Only the Manchester site is taking enquiries at the moment from patients wanting to participate. The contact details are as follows: Alison Uriel Email: Alison.Uriel@mft.nhs.uk. Address: Delaunays Rd, Crumpsall, Manchester M8 5RB, United Kingdom Phone: +44 161 795 4567

Thank you Jackie I had heard something about this.

Am I being dim but I can’t see which are the London hospitals listed, but worked out that IVIG excludes me from the first phase, so I wonder when the third phase will recruit ?

Unfortunately, I think your ivig treatment will exclude you from any trial as you probably have some passive immunity from that. The London hospitals weren't listed were they?

Thanks Jackie,

I could only see IVIG excluded in phase 1 but no mention of it for phase 3 !

Somewhere else a friend and fellow patient found the London post codes and thinks they are St Thomas and UCLH, so perhaps useful for any London members that meet the criteria to look out for updates.

Hi Jackie thank you for this post. It looks like my age over 55 and the fact I am on Ibrutinib will exclude me at least from the first phase if I have read this correctly?

Jackie will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the idea of the small phase 1 trial in healthy volunteers is to establish the safety profile of the new drug before it's unleashed on the 3,200 immune-compromised subjects in the main (phase 3) trial. So I don't expect the latter trial to get going for a few months yet, and that's the one you want to be in, as you stand a 50/50 chance of getting Evusheld Mk1 / Mk2.

Hi thank you for your reply I am sure you are correct. Role on later phases.

Take care
