Omicron vs Evusheld

has anyone got both the Omicron vaccine and Evusheld and which came first and how long in between

By Omicron, you mean the bivalent vaccine, as Len has explained. This has just been released. So anyone who has had both would highly likely to have had Evusheld first, particularly as Len explained, "per the product EUA, Evusheld can be given at least 2 weeks after COVID-19 vaccine".

The FDA recently advised that there was no need to have any spacing between Evusheld and then a vaccination. (Prior to that, it was thought that Evusheld might reduced the effectiveness of the vaccine, by mopping up any spike proteins.)

I received the Evusheld injections in April and the bivalent vaccine in September. Two weeks after the bivalent vaccine, I spent an hour in car with someone who tested positive for Covid two days later. Her “allergies” turned out to be Covid. Amazingly, I stayed healthy with negative tests. I’m grateful for both Evusheld and the new vaccine.

I had Evusheld in April and am scheduled for a second round in mid October. After 4 Covid vaccines/boosters i am scheduled for the bivalent Moderna on 10/2 which should be enough time between the booster and the Evusheld. 🤞

if you’re talking about having the Omicron variant version of Covid...yes my husband with CLL caught Covid OMICRON in January. I followed suit 2 days later. His Oncologist told him it was Omicron, and he had several other CLL patients hospitalized with it

We were both already vaccinated.

February my hubby had a PET scan. Pneumonia was still in his lungs. He was treated with doxycycline.

In March his Oncologist gave him two vials of Evushield. He had 2 more in August.

He’s on Venetoclax and doing well.

Recently had a hip replacement and now back on the tractor at age 71.

Had Evusheld in Feb and March because the CDC updated the dosage from my first and added a second half dose. I had the new Pfizer bivalent a few weeks ago. I just took a Covid PCR test yesterday at a clinic and the result was negative for Covid which is a requirement in order to receive Evusheld at my hospital. I will get Evusheld on Thursday, exactly 6 months from my last Evusheld in March.

Sharing my experience… I was scheduled to get my pneumonia booster yesterday. I was told that my doctor is having me get my second dose of Evusheld first. Then I need to wait 30 days to get the new Covid vaccine and my pneumonia booster. However, I’m able to get my flu vaccine anytime. I believe he wanted me to get the Evusheld first because I responded so well to it (no reaction and mild case of Covid). And I never built up antibodies with the Pfizer vaccines.
