Motorhoming in Spain

I would like to take my motorhome to Spain for two and a half months next winter and wondered where I can get information regarding risks associated with CLL and Covid treatment whilst travelling there.

Hi Thurlestone, I live in Spain and am on watch and wait. Not sure of your question regarding risks associated with CLL, ive not come across any. For treatment for anything you will need to bring a health card from your own country and check there before you come to ensure you would be covered, if you don't speak Spanish you would need to find an interpreter for any hospital or doctors visits. I also recommend private health insurance if possible as the private hospitals are very good. I hope you have a fantastic time.

Guarding language differences you can download wonderful translating apps on your phone. I just simply talked into my phone and it translated into the language I chose. Enjoy your trip it sounds like a wonderful opportunity.

My query regarding CLL is that I have been on the Flair Trial for four years and caught Covid in July. I had to gain support with an antibody treatment. Tablets could not be used because of the Ibrutinib drug I take and I had to seek the infusion style which is complementary. I wondered if this occurred whilst in Spain if this could be found and I could be treated.

Hi Thurlestone, each region is different. The only advice I can give you is this from the British Consulate Covid page:

Developing symptoms or testing positive for COVID-19 in Spain

If you have symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 during your stay in Spain, you are not required to self-isolate but you should inform direct contacts and take the following extra precautionary measures for 10 days from diagnosis or from when symptoms began:

wear a mask

reduce social interactions and avoid crowded spaces & large events

avoid contact with people at high risk (including older people, people with health conditions and pregnant women)

If your symptoms persist or get worse, you should call your regional hotline. (Numbers in this link)

sanidad.gob.es/en/profesion...

Most of the regional hotlines listed have English speaking staff, and they should be able to advise what treatment is available.

Sorry I cant be of more help.
