Allergies and CLL

Hi. I’m still trying to figure out the lymphadenopathy getting worse but blood work, PET, and BMB are normal. Nothing alarming there except for three larger nodes, but not where the swelling is most unsightly. I asked my onc about allergies being the reason (he thinks it might be lupus or another immune problem) as they didn’t really swell like this until after my allergy shots of 1.5 years wore off (never finished the course for another year because I moved). He said it’s a slight possibility but unlikely. I resume shots soon. They were approved by the onc (I know they change the immune system).

Has anyone else dealt with something similar or been on allergy shots?

Auto immune conditions are not uncommon with CLL. There are some that believe CLL itself is an auto immune condition.

good luck with your future
