Availability of Evusheld in UK

Hi given that Evusheld has been approved by the MHRA but not yet by NICE is it possible to obtain the injections privately. Frankly after being imprisoned in the house for the last 2 years I am prepared to pay for some release.

Me too. I'm planning to follow this up and see if I can get a private prescription somehow. It may have been approved by MHRA but that doesn't mean its available in the UK. I think we need a bit of homework doing.

I've just read on the Blood Cancer UK website that Evushield will only be available via the NHS. Blood Cancer UK do seem to have their finger on the pulse about everything covid so it's worth checking the website regularly for updates.

All vaccines and medications involved in preventing or treating Covid seem to be only available through the NHS. Testing for antibodies can be bought privately.

HiFrom talk to my medic friends they reckon evusheld will probably not be used for the masses , but based on Clinical risk. I am 58, no antibodies, stage 4 diagnosis Nov 20, on treatment and no comorbidities...... I believe I wouldn't be eligible for evusheld now the Delta variant has declined.
