Sorry r cusher have had 2 A Z and a Pfizer and have another ? awaiting 4th which will be a few months away. Have my PCR test kit and many flow tests and will be entitled to emergency new treatment drugs. So what level of immunosuppression I am I have no idea. Just isolating and keeping safe.

Welcome to your first post. I’m afraid nobody can tell you definitively what level of immunocompromisation you have and your post and profile don’t provide much information as to your CLL staging. Are you on Watch & Wait, on treatment, in remission? Are you immunoglobulins sound and do you have frequent infections or symptoms?
I can tell you I was in the same position as you vaccination wise when I contracted Covid at Christmas. I’m at the end of a clinical trial with no antibody response to the first two AZ vaccines. I weathered Covid very well (had a Sotrovimab infusion) and all was well. However, how we’ll respond can be a bit of a lottery based on so many factors. Age and general health being important too.
Does your specialist suggest you keep isolating? Important thing is you’ve got things in place should you catch Covid.
Newdawn, I was wondering if you now have immunity against another bout of covid, now that you have been given the MAB treatment? Has anyone advised you either way? Thanks.
I’ve had no advice at all Eucalyptus and my Consultant had more questions than answers about my Covid and infusion experience when I saw him. I know I’m not supposed to test again for Covid within 90 days but unsure as to whether this confers any added immunity on me or if in fact I’ll need the booster (4th vaccination). I’m taking it as it comes and do feel more confident about things than previously.
Hi NewdawnI have been on Acalabrutinib since September 2020 and WBC levels now very slow downwards in the 20s. We, that's my wife and I seriously isolating on Haemotologists recommendation due to probable lowering of immunity due to Acalabrutinib.
However my wife has had 2 operations in this period and both her and myself have had multiple hospital visits so it seems luck has been with us with regard to Covid. We are both disabled, my wife increasingly more so, had we been more active probably we would have taken more chances going out and about.
Hope the whole community survives now that Covid variants are becoming less aggressive.
The fact that you are not supposed to test for another 90 days would seem to mean that they don't expect you to get it. Hope that is the case. I guess you are another trailblazer! Many thanks
Hope that’s the case Kate but sadly I’m not fit enough to run amok with my new found freedom at the moment! 😂
I have read claims that some manufacturers claim up to 8 months protection. I notice all the infection figures are trending down now. We just don’t need another variant to creep in and life may, just may start to return to some degree of normality.
You are right to assume that you are severely immune compromised and to isolate! Even if you are not. It's better to err on the safe side. Everybody your age is immune compromised at least to some degree. The immune system is getting old and inefficient just like any other organ as we age. So it's best to be cautious. Stay well!
