Has anyone read The Real Anthony Fauci on Amazon Kindle? It is eye opening as to how all this began and where it will end. The reviews give a great explanation.

Isnt this the book by Robert Kennedy Jr. Kennedy was recently banned from Instagram for spreading dangerous and false information. As a prominent anti-vaxxer, Kennedy is a threat to everyone who is immunocompromised. Kennedy has argued Sirhan Sirhan did not kill his father, despite the fact there were dozens of eyewitnesses who saw Sirhan fire the shot. He’s kind of a nut.

My view, and we are all entitled to our own opinion, is that this is a hit job on Fauci by an anti vaxxer who many of his family disavow for his odd and sometimes dangerous views.

If his dad, Robert Kennedy, was alive, he would be pro vaccine and supportive of the work Fauci does.

Indeed, from the book contents, this looks to me to be a repackaging in one book, of fake news by

"... anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., one of the "Disinformation Dozen" identified by the center, who has promoted the long discredited idea that vaccines are linked to autism. During the pandemic, he has shared baseless conspiracy theories linking 5G cellular networks to the coronavirus, and suggested, without evidence, that the death of baseball great Hank Aaron was "part of a wave of suspicious deaths" tied to vaccines.

None of that is true.

Kennedy was kicked off Instagram, which Facebook owns, in February over repeatedly sharing debunked claims."

From the article Just 12 People Are Behind Most Vaccine Hoaxes On Social Media, Research Shows

npr.org/2021/05/13/99657085...

Which reports on this study: 252f2edd-1c8b-49f5-9bb2-cb5... which found that "The 'Disinformation Dozen' produce 65% of the shares of anti-vaccine misinformation on social media platforms," said Imran Ahmed, chief executive officer of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, which identified the accounts.

It makes my blood boil that a conspiracy theorist with no medical training is profiting from spreading dangerous disinformation that continues to get people killed.

Kennedy Jr., who knows nothing about immunology is trying to destroy the reputation of Dr. Fauci, who has advised seven presidents, and worked tirelessly in virology and immunology for over 50 years. What has Kennedy achieved, except to serve himself?

I have two sons who have neurological disorders..one, high functioning autism..and I know he had this disorder before any of his vaccines. For a short time I did think that somehow there could be a link, but I know better and sometimes I think people who have children with health/mental issues would love to blame something else (rather than blame it on something we might have done) so it has a reason for being.

Thank you for sharing such deeply painful and personal story.

The ability to see clearly and avoiding the temptation to blame self or others when in pain is aspirational.🙏🏽

Vaccines -- not just Covid -- can have consequences. But they are the lesser of two evils (getting smallpox, polio, shingles, etc) Very sorry for your sons' neurological issues, whatever the cause. I do think pediatricians push too many vaccines all at one time on very young infants and wish they'd delay a tad and spread them out. But of course this has nothing to do with Dr. Fauci and the propaganda book.

From the above comments, think it’s something to avoid.

Hmmm, the first reviewer I saw on Amazon, "Dr. Mercola", is an osteopath who has been in trouble with the FDA numerous times for making false claims about the supplements/devices he markets. Mercola is a staunch anti-vaxxer who has been cited as the #1 source of misinformation online regarding Covid.

Not interested in spending $$ on B.S. fantasy purporting to be "fact."

All the 80 year old Dr. Fauci has done, is dedicate his life to helping and saving others from disease, and illness. Apparently, that is not enough for some people.

I have the highest regard for Dr. Fauci and am disgusted by books like this.

More often than not, when searching for truth, the first nugget to be found is Fool's Gold.

Come to think of it, it doesn't need much searching as those are generally planted to be found.

What I try and do is first think about why I find something to be shiny...and usually it is because of my own bias.

Most prophecies are self fulfilling because of my own expectations. And truth then just becomes a flash in the pan...

And no, didn't read about the real Fauci. Rarely read the unreal one either but do try and read what those communiques are based on. Somewhat like others on here read about the author more than what s/he writes.

Saves me from looking for snakes in the tall grass.

Just another form of the Big Lies floating around US (and elsewhere?) in the Fox "News" world where science is the enemy, so scientists as Dr. Fauci (who served faithfully under 7 Presidents) are monsterized. Sorry to see you were taken in. If you are a Fox "News" watcher, try watching other mainstream stations a tad. It may be genuinely "eye opening."

I watch fox news and mainstream as well. Both are biased. I must say I have never heard fox endorse or promote Robert F. Kennedy or his theories or book.

Vlaminck profile image
Vlaminck in reply to Splashes

Good for you by watching both. And glad to hear they haven't promoted this guy or book -- but they have gotten aboard all of the anti-vax, hydroxychloroquine harmful nonsense -- and they have made Dr. Fauci enemy no. 1, haven't they?

It was a sad day when health became political. I treasure HealthUnlocked for giving me well-balanced and good medical updates. As a high-risk cll survivor and a severe (ICU) covid survivor, I seek every bit of info I can to keep healthy. I won't comment further to your feelings about Fox News as I feel it will be unproductive in our mutual fight against cll and covid. We are all on the same team. May the Lord guide us and our doctors and the media in truth. Have a blessed and healthy Holyday!

Re. “Searching the truth” - Keep searching!! You’re not going to find any truth in that book. All you’ll find is rubbish (or “garbage” for us in the colonies)

Wow, enoughto look at the reviewers. Mercola, Malone, Montagnier... All discredited conspiracy theorists. I don't think I'll waste a cent on this one.

HoraceG profile image

Nonsense. How is it that people can believe this conspiracy stuff like in the book you are recommending? And then they support each other on websites and social media to reinforce these beliefs. I think it's because if someone wants to believe a certain way they will latch on to whatever will support that, even if it goes contrary to rational behavior.

There are networks of rationalities and active recruitments to cults.

Foundational work for tribalism, politics and power.

It is tragic when it is done over public health.

Opposing tribes are fertile grounds for the grim reaper - whether it be war or plague/pestilence.

I don't watch Tucker. Amazing I am the bad guy here while in a debate on facebook on the other side trying to convince antivaxers and Kennedy believers the error of their ways. Feeling attacked on both sides today. I'm done. Focusing on the positives and not the arguments. I suggest we all do the same to achieve better health.

Splashes profile image
Splashes in reply to BoomrangSuj

I have a side! I just didn't see why Fox News had to be brought into this. We all know all the media distorts truth, which is sad. People assume because I watch fox that I am not vaccinated. I am triple vaccinated and will have a booster in 3 more months. I am an international author and speaker and know a lot of people. Last week I knew six in the hospital with covid, 4 in ICU. None were vaccinated. I've pleaded with people to get vaccinated. Saturday was the most tragic death of all as my 39 year old friend died of covid. She also delivered her first child the same week. Yesterday another friend with three teens died. Covid is devastating and I have been vocal about the cost of not being vaccinated. Keep safe, everyone. We all want to enjoy many more Merry Christmases.

I went to Holy Cross College with Tony Fauci. He is intelligent, hard-working and honorable. Those who attack him are either evil or stupid. Worse, they are dangerous to public health.

Dr. Fauci's reply to the book:“I think if you look at my career there are not a lot of people that would be attacking my career, but he seems to do that,” Fauci continued in the comments published earlier this week. “It’s very unfortunate because I don’t think he is inherently malicious. I just think he’s a very disturbed individual. And I … I don’t like to have to say that, but it’s very, very clear. And it’s a shame because he comes from such an extraordinarily distinguished family, many members of whom I know personally, and I was very close to Senator Ted Kennedy, who was such an extraordinary person and a real warrior for public health. And to have RFK Jr. just spouting things that make absolutely no sense.”

AussieNeil profile image

Further on “And the thing that makes it even more painful about it is that ultimately that is hurting people, that will cause disease and lose lives for the things he’s saying,” Fauci added. “So, I’m so sorry that he’s doing that not just because he’s attacking me – that seems to be the rage among some people – but because ultimately it is going to hurt people. So it’s really unfortunate that he’s doing that.”

Thank you, Lexie, for posting Dr Fauci's response.
