COVID 3RD Jab

Has anyone had a reaction to their 3rd jab my partner who has CLL and on active treatment was hospitalised with temp full screening done now home but feels like been hit by a bus 😰

I’m SLL on W&W and got third Pfizer dose about a week ago. First two doses had barely any impact — slightly sore arm. 3rd dose: very sore arm, then developed red itchy hot upper arm after a couple of days, felt achy then one of my toes turned purple for a couple of days. Big sore lymph node under the arm of the injection. I’m convinced the arm stuff and enlarged node was related to the 3rd jab, but the achy muscles could have been from getting the garden ready for a family event. Purple toe: broken blood vessel? Bruise? “COVID toe”? Who knows. Definitely more of a reaction 3rd time around, though.

Yes, the side effects from my 3rd shot made the first two look like nothing. I had a fever for two days. In a way it was funny because having spent an afternoon in hospital being ‘educated’ about upcoming treatment, and being told to go straight to Hosp with a temp over 38… went home and took my temp and it was 38!

Hi I have CLL and yes had my third jab four days ago . Astra Zeneca first two now Pfizer. I have sore arm aching limbs and I quote .. feel as if I have been hit by a bus … add to that I spent Tuesday in A&E having cut my head open on my cooker hood 🤦‍♀️ Once they had stopped the bleeding I had my cut glued . So to sum up my hair looks as if I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards and the rest of me is aching from head to toe other than that I’m fine 😂😂 forgot to add am in discussions with consultant about starting treatment. The poem .. Theres nothing the matter with me you know I’m as healthy as can be mind you I have got arthritis in both my knees and when I speak I talk with a wheeze etc etc … look it up it’s quite amusing .

I too felt like I had been hit by a bus with the Pfizer 3rd dose. If only it would correlate with a positive antibody test I think we would all forgive it for hitting us like a bus. In fact you can hit me with a row of buses if you give me some antibodies that will allow me to meet up with my family.

The booster was definitely worse but m glad I got it. I was down for four days felt like I had been run over.

Thanks he is slowly improving his neutrophils were very low when had vaccine so had injections to improve these on admission and has also had more this week as dropped again 😔

I had the third booster of Moderna (full dose) over a month ago. I had a low grade fever that lasted for two to three days and no appetite, fatigue and in bed. My spleen got and is still enlarged. I did an antibody test which was negative, no antibodies.

Thanks my partner Temp was 42 on sane day a vaccine but his neutrophils were also low , after 2 days in hospital and full screening and injection to make his bone marrow produce neutrophils he got home, he is improving not temp and starting to eat again, he back to hospital tomorrow to see if his treatment going ahead he is on O&V so hopefully it will as his last obinutuzumab drip so after that will remain on tablets

I failed to say that I am on the LOXO-305 trial in the US. I did take Tylenol and Tylenol PM after my third Moderna shot, which may explain why I had low grade fever. I was worried by the enlarged spleen but later I was told that it is normal to have enlarged lymph nodes and spleen following the vaccine. Best to your partner.
