Had allopurinol for over twenty years for gout buy not had a attack for 19 years stopped taking seven months ago not had a attack had heal pain worried was gout but surely I'd have had a attack earlier than seven months in???

Hi Picklepickle,
I’m wondering if you have CLL because the members on here take Allopurinol for a very different reason during their blood cancer treatment to prevent a condition called tumour lysis syndrome. You obviously need it to prevent a build up of the uric acid which causes gout.
Hope you don’t have any further episodes but it seems that this isn’t the appropriate site to discuss them unless you have CLL.
