I am very happy to have developed antibodies, 4 weeks after my 2nd Pfizer BioNTech shot!
The lab results show “>2080,0 UA/ml”, and the control, or normal value is marked at “<33,8 UA/ml”
The lab said I had “a lot” of antibodies, and everyone >33 is considered having some sort of protective antibodies.
A friend of mine has almost 6000.
But then I’ve been told that no one can say today whether you are more or better protected with 100 or 1000 or 5000 UA/ml.
Even my haematologist didn’t seem able to further interpret the results and asked for the “log” equivalent, but which the lab couldn’t tell me, as they don’t evaluate that standard.
My hematologist said that anything >3 log would be good, but that in any case I shouldn’t worry, as my number in UA/ml also means that the vaccine has worked.
But as I didn’t really find a lot on the web, I wanted to know if any of you have read or been told how to interpret those results a little more scientifically than “there is some sort of protection”?
