Not feeling right

ladyscream profile image

Since the weekend I have been feeling extremely tired (more than I usually do)

This is accompanied with weak, shaky legs, stomach slightly 'off', foggy head and overall generally feeling weak and washed out, I don't have a temperature but I am feeling cold.

I can't put my finger on what is wrong , seems trivial to bother the GP with but may have to if it continues.

I am usually fairly active and although I get very tired I am used to pushing through the feeling. This is different.

Any ideas appreciated, does anyone else have episodes like this?

Any thoughts are welcome.

Thankyou GMa27 for your reply, had my AZ vaccine on4/2/21 had a reaction after 12 hours feeling pretty much the same as I do now, with addition of headache and chills. This improved after 4 to 5 days , felt back to normal, last Blood’s done early January were quite stable.

I would call PCP if it continues another few days. It is not your norm but it might be effects of first shot. You may not be able to get second shot if you continue to feel "off".

Hi Ladyscream, I have some or all the symptoms you describe almost daily at times, I have spoken to, my GP and Consultant, and they were not alarmed about them, So I now tend to try and ignore them, which helps. I then think, that there may come a time when something you ignore, turns bad. I suppose this is all part of our CLL, and experienced by many. So see your GP, do your risk assessment, and then soldier on ladyscream. All the very best to you. Ron

Thankyou Vindicatrix, I was thinking maybe it was something that would come and go, I have felt like this before but it didn't last as long.Good to know I'm not the only one although sorry to hear you have this too.

All the best to you as well.

There have been several discussions on fatigue and tiredness recently- here is my long reply about investigating other possible causes: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Thankyou lankisterguy for your reply, I will read the posts you have found for me. It's easy to blame Cll for everything which i try not to do, I always read everything I can about tiredness as I have suffered this for most of my life .

Working night duty for 20 years around my family obviously didn't help.

Best wishes to you.

I read that you don't have a temperature but felt cold, but just thought to bring to your attention that an infection like sepsis, has as a symptom either a fever above 101ºF (38ºC) or a temperature below 96.8ºF (36ºC) - did you take your temperature and find it low? Check with your doctor on this if you have low temp. I hope you feel improved soon.

Other symptoms of sepsis are listed on this site.

I had the Pfizer jab on Monday 8th Feb with virtually no side effects. Almost to the day, Monday 22nd Feb ive been tired, had night sweats, a dull headache and a cloudy feeling along with slight nausea and dizziness: now the glands under my chin and each side of my neck are swollen. I’m putting it all down to the vaccine starting to do it’s thing

Thankyou Burnsae1888 , seems likely it is the vaccine doing what it should, I wasn’t sure as I seemed to recover from my fairly strong reaction to having the vaccine after 4 to 5 days , had a week of feeling well and then went down again with almost the same symptoms.

Check in with your doctor. You don’t want to wait a couple of days and end up needing a doctor over the weekend! Do check your temp. The three times I’ve been sickest, including sepsis, my temp went down, not up.

Thankyou MsLockYourPosts , that’s very interesting as I usually am alert for a high temperature, my temp is often normal/low , but I will be alert for this from now on.

Hi. Because how you are feeling is “different” it’s worth being checked out by seeing your doctor. TC ☀️

Reading your bio (and because my wife awaits her test result) prompts the question when did you last have your TSH level checked?

Hi Bennevisplace, last test was September, it’s a bit of a double whammy working out if it’s thyroid related tiredness or Cll or something else.Everything seems to have come to a bit of a halt-in the NHS other than Covid , which is understandable.

Thankyou for your reply

Best wishes to you .
