Had my Moderna Covid vaccine on the 29th and am scheduled for the second one on the 26 th of Jan. Had my bi yearly Oncology appointment with my DR and asked him due to my CLL how will the vaccine work with me. He said that my protection from Covid should be around 70% instead of the 95% but that even if I got Covid the symptoms would be much less then if I did not get the vaccine. I should add that I am asymptomatic so far with my CLL

That’s pretty good cover since the flu jab only gives ‘normals’ around 60% protection. If it reduces my chances of suffering the worst excesses of this disease has to be a good thing and worth a shot.
