For those living in the U.S. there's a time sensitive deadline—12/31/2020, I think—to initiate a new legal action brewing against the makers of Roundup for people who have, or have had, CLL. Check out this site:

Here's what I've been told (but you should check it out yourself):
* This is not part of the class action suit that was settled earlier this year, nor is it part of any other class action suit.
* Each case will be determined individually, based on the specifics of that case.
* The more information you can give about your use of Roundup, the better your case and the more you would stand to gain from a settlement. I can't tell you what to say, but you should think long and hard about absolutely everything you could theoretically say about the many issues you've had.
* For example—and clearly this can't be true for everyone—if you were to say that you worked a full-time job of landscaping for a number of years, where you used Roundup extensively on a daily basis, and you strongly believe that the extensive use of Roundup was responsible for your CLL, then that could go a long ways toward any possible settlement.
* I was told that they understand that people aren't likely to have receipts for their use of Roundup, so they won't be asking for receipts.
* If you apply, please note that they would be seeking medical records pertaining to a person's claims of CLL, so I gave them all my information and authorization for records from where I've lived.
* The initial interviewer asked only a few questions about the symptoms I'm having related to my CLL, but I'll be getting a call from someone in the law office, probably next week, who will be asking me lots of questions about my physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial issues related to my CLL. * My recommendation is that if you would like to move forward with this you should get up a comprehensive list related to each one of these types of issues BEFORE speaking to anyone. * In any event, the first step is timely filling out the form, then waiting for them to reach out to you to ask questions about your medical records.
* I just looked online, and for those who are part of the settlement from earlier this year people will apparently be getting anywhere from $5,000 to $250,000, depending on their symptoms, length of time they had cancer, and how it's affected their life physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. The younger you were when you contracted CLL, and the more wages/earnings you may have lost as a result, would likely significantly impact your earning ability, and could be extremely valuable with regard to financial compensation. I have no idea whether they would seek proof of earnings, or lost earnings, but I frankly doubt it.
* The law firm, if they accept a claim, will take 40% of any settlement plus various expenses. It's a lot, but 60% of something is a lot better than 100% of nothing. I plan to counter with a request for 33% plus capping expenses at 10% of any settlement, but doubt it will fly, but we'll see.
* I was told that any settlement might take 18 months from the date of filing.
