I've developed hundreds of little broken blood vessels on my lower legs while taking Calquence. Anyone else getting this?

This topic of petechiae and Acalabrutinib/Calquence was discussed just over a week ago: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

How long have you been on Calquence and what's your platelet count? I had a near solid patch of petechiae on one ankle not long after starting on Calquence, but now only see it occasionally on my upper torso and upper arms.

Incidentally, you can edit your profile healthunlocked.com/profile/... to provide background treatment history to save you from repeating yourself.

By the way, you have posted unlocked and may get more replies if you lock your post

I thought that being unlocked meant that other people needing help could easily do a search and find this site. I had a heck of a time finding it, didn't know it existed and stumbled across it -thanks to what I believe was an unlocked post.

I'm glad you were able to find us through an Internet search and hence gain answers to questions of personal concern. You've also elected to keep your post unlocked, so others with similar concerns can find this community.

Deciding whether to post locked or unlocked is a compromise between maintaining privacy and helping others who are worried about what their blood cancer is doing.

Historically, about 75% of new members found this site through Internet searches. A while back, I gather Google changed their site rating algorithm to improve the medical accuracy of search returns, so that secondary references about drugs (such as from this community), got bumped down the search return rankings. Mentioning the drug in the title as you have done, along with a mention of the health condition (CLL, SLL, MCL), helps others find us.

Thanks,

Neil

I will probably lock it now. There might not be a connection but I have been getting more spam (scam) calls lately so just to be safe... Thank you Neil! = )

Although it is a different medical issue : It wise to protect the skin of legs with daily application of Home Care Pro Fragile Skin Protection Ointment. Also - if permitted by your doctor, Dermend Bruise Cream.
