In RMH Sutton on 50mg Venetoclax.

My bio chemistry abnormalities are

Potassium 3.1. Glucose 3.9 Albumin 24

Calcium 1.68.

How do those figures sound?

Hi aloneifly,

-

It is best if your doctor or medically trained staff review your tests and compare them over time with your past tests and the normal values for your lab.

-

Having slightly low Potassium during a ramp up of Venetoclax might be viewed as positive, since the big risk is TLS driving your Potassium very high.

-

Some of the UK blood test values are in different ranges than the USA list, so here are links to those ( with the extra "a" in leukemia and hematology)

Thanks. On drs rounds he was quite happy to discharge me until I questioned some of those figures. I had asked for a print out and he hadn't even seen it!

He then decided the levels weren't so good and a colleague suggested the blood may have been diluted as I was in a hydration drip when they took my blood .

So they retested my blood and hey presto a lot of the concerning figures had changed! For example my platelets magically rose by 20

So it would seem being hydrated for 24 hours on a drip can affect the blood results.

Thankfully I am now at home.
