I had Rituxan/Bendeka treatment through a port about 18 months ago. It worked really well and I have been in remission for about a year or so. I’m currently out of remission with my WBCs going back up. My question is to anyone who has a port, can I anticipate starting chemo earlier since I still have my port in? I know I could ask my doc, I just wanted to see if anyone had experience with this.

I agree with Jeff, your next treatment will likely be ibrutinib or venetoclax, both oral drugs. Some doctors might add gazyva, which would be infusion therapy.
Either way, I doubt whether you having or not having a port would be much a factor in determining when you need to start treatment or what treatment is best for you.
Good luck, they are having great success with these oral drugs should you need to treat soon.
Having a port already, doesn't determine kind of treatment or how fast. Sorry ur remission didn't last very long. Discuss with docs your choices, then get second opinion. Good luck! 🙏💕
