Hi, into my seventh week of Ibrutinib when I experienced chest pain on exertion also A-fib happening more frequently. Ended up in CCU in local hospital. Had an Angiogram and discovered mild coronary plague . Now on rivaroxaban but taken off Ibrutinib. Four days later lymph nodes swelling and sore. Have to wait 6 weeks before starting new drug for CLL. Has anyone else had this experience? Not feeling good, very fatigued!!

Sorry to hear about all you are going through Eileen. What new CLL drug will they be starting you on? Acalabrutinib by any chance?

I was taken off ibrutinib earlier this year and switched to Venetoclax because of Afib. This is a more common problem than was originally recognized with ibrutinib.

Good luck to you!

Not sure what drug I’ll be on next Kim, It will be a long 6 weeks waiting for the Ibrutinib to leave my system and the lumps are back already!! I’ll let you know as soon as I know.

Thank you,

Eileen

Afib is a known Ibrutinib problem. My wife takes Toprol XL 50 mg for her Ibrutinib-caused afib - seems to control it.
