FDA approval

I just read an article that stated that the FDA approves Ibrutinib plus rituximab for CLL on 4/21/2020 for INITIAL treatment. Approval was based on the E1912 trial. Patients with 17p deletions were excluded. The main efficacy outcome measure was progression-free survival. The patients were compared with those receiving FCR. (Although this is too late for my husband, it is gratifying to know that research continues.) Stay well and keep hopeful all!

We are doing all right....being super careful, and he missed his last labs appt. because of the virus....I am doing all the errands, but he is getting excited about the golf courses opening up. Our governor is allowing this, with no carts and no club house. Spacing everyone out as well....he ordered and received a push cart for his clubs....now have to wait another week or so. Wisconsin is on Safe at Home until May 26....but the GOP is fighting this in court. We have some rallies, and the fiasco of our last election where people had to vote in person...the COVID-19 infections have been traced to 19 and rising....we will see what happens with these rallies as few wear masks and are so close together. Stupid....Off to walk my dog....take care dear friend. Kathy
