Please pass a tissue

I've had a cold non - stop for three months. How do I get rid of it ? I've had CLL for about twelve years and am still in the W&W stage.

Are you sure that it’s a cold? When I moved from the west coast to the east coast I suddenly had neverending colds. My doctor finally realized that they weren’t colds. I was very allergic to something fall and spring - probably the trees there. Are there new plants in the neighborhood? Are you using a new detergent or body soap, etc.?

Another possibility to consider would be a sinus infection that is never fully gone.

I hope you find an answer! You must feel miserable.

I am not sure where you are located, but I would make an appt to see and ear, nose and throat doctor or someone comparable to that. A cold is a virus, there is no real treatment for it but to treat the symptoms until your antibodies kick in and take out the cold. Colds usually resolve within a couple weeks.

It seems unlikely, even with a weakened immune system, that a cold would linger that long. I would be looking for other causes, maybe allergies or a recurring sinus infection.

Agree...it probably isn't a cold. ENT first then allergist if nothing found at ENT. 🤞

You need to go to your doctors , an oncologist, a GP, and an ENT. Get your body figured out by them. You shouldn’t have a “cold” for so long. As Cakunjeff had said it is not normal. Anna

For the last couple of years I've had bouts of a" hay-fever"-like syndrome with watery dripping nose, itchy eyes and scratchy throat, with sneezing, and increased sensitivity to various foodstuffs and products. Not quite a full Allergy was the conclusion here, but cause thought to be severely diminished Ig E, way low like all my immunoglobulins.

I have had a problem for a couple years with sneezing as reaction to the slightest movement of cold air, such as when opening the refrigerator. I was prescribed many histamines. (Which are problematic ! ) Then I tried aroma therapy with essential oils in diffusers. It seems to have resolved the sneezing problem and increase breathing somewhat. I tried a number of essential oil combinations. For me the best appears to me "Breath Ease" from Nexon Botanics.

I was on watch and wait for 20 years with recurrent "cold like" awful episodes. The last three years I was totally blocked up. Saw three ENT's with turbinate reduction and allergy testing. Johns Hopkins finally did a biopsy and found infiltration of B cells in my nasal septum. I started Imbruvica last June and the symptoms that were creating havoc in my life subsided. I am so grateful for the ENT at John Hopkins for finally listening and doing the biopsy. The Oncologist at JHU said his team has never heard of this type of infiltration so it is very rare. Hope you find some relief:)
