Yes had several fillers. But not during treatment (chemo).

Was not on daily pills like Ibrutinb.

Thank you GMa27. I might have to start Imbruvica soon and didn’t want to waste my money for one time injections. I have had Botox without any issues. I know I sound vain but when you feel you look good it helps with the attitude.

I used fillers for many years. Was such a mood booster!

Usually lasts a year or more. Discuss with oncologist but I imagine you can do it once in awhile but like any procedure will probably need to go off of it for a week while on Ibrutinb.

Hope it works out! 🤞🙏💕

I had just started imbruvica and had radiesce ( not sure about spelling) and broke out in papular rash all around my mouth. I had had this rash before and had it under control with lots of antihistamines. I was still taking that when I had cosmetic treatment. The antihistamines didn't help this time. Maybe you will be luckier

Yup! St. Louis. Been going to this nurse practitioner for years. Never had any problems before. It had to be the drug plus the CLL

So sorry about rash. Hope it’s subsided and you’re better. Will this stop you from having future injections?

I don't know. I might go to a more natural product that is made from hyaluronic acid. What I've been using has more lasting volume because it has calcium in it. Or I may just have to get used to my wrinkles. Phooey! I will be on my treatment for 2 yrs. I'm taking imbruvica and venclexta. Brand name , not generic. It's been going exceptionally well. All my values except the absolute lymphocytes are in the normal range and the abs lymph are only a couple of tenths high. It would certainly save money if I quit the fillers. My meds are over $1200/month. There are topical agents here in USA. Plexaderm is one. I might check that out eventually.

Best of luck to you. I may try Juvederm before going on Imbruvica. My daughter is an esthetician who works in a spa that gives Botox and Juv, etc. I hv a chance of getting it done at their cost so will probably go for it. At least, this one time. You only live once! I’m reluctant to ask my oncologist for the go as she is into natural beauty. No makeup or hair dye, etc. that’s just not me! I have a friend who’s a NP and she said to go for it now. Who knows??

In truth it’s not something I’d do. The lymph nodes could react unpredictably and I say that simply as a fellow CLL’ers who got lots of unwanted ‘fillers’ around my face when my nodes started to swell. I’d not want to introduce a foreign ‘body’ into an immune system that’s unpredictable. Just my thoughts on it and the specialists above are not entirely sure about certain proecedures.

I’ve had no problem. My dermatologist knows about my condition.

That may be a great key to why you have got on great with them. Using a dermatologist who understands CLL. I am currently in NHS hospital, have been fir 3 weeks; unrelated to CLL and the nursing staff don't know much at all it. The doctors aren't much better with their knowledge.

Her father has CLL, and while she is not deeply knowledgable about it, she's aware, and has a couple other patients who have it. If I were concerned, I'd run it by my specialist, but I'm not very worried. She sees me every 3 or 4 months because the risk of skin cancer is so much higher with CLL.
