Happy Thanksgiving

Just checking to see which brave souls are willing to brave the after thanksgiving holiday Black Friday sales! The crush of bodies and germs everywhere you turn. Blessings.

Not doing black Friday as at our age if we don't have it, we don't need it and any germs out there that we have not gotten we sure don't want them now.

Not worth it! I have always stayed away from that anyway! Happy Thanksgiving🙂

I'm ready to go out, too! My hubby is at work and I'm going out solo.

Non-issue. There is nothing we need to buy. Black Friday is entirely irrelevant.

Hi Scott

Thanksgiving was great, maybe ate a little too much, or maybe a whole lot too much. :)

Happy Thanksgiving! I was supposed to work tomorrow but am sick so I’ll be staying home. I’m actually glad because I was a little but concerned about the crowds. Guess I already received the germs. 😔 stay safe and healthy!

Amazon for me too! I can’t stand the craziness over “stuff”. I do enjoy the spirit though so maybe we’ll shop with no need to buy.😀

My hubby was with JCPenney for 26 years, and Black Friday was always a Spector hanging over Thanksgiving Day. On the first Thanksgiving after he left retail, he was a little “stir crazy” on Black Friday, but a trip to Best Buy cured him of it pretty quickly. We don’t do Black Friday now.

I have never participated in black Friday shopping.

There is a causeway that separates Ohio and Pennsylvania where there are giant carp. If you throw bread into the water it is a thrashing mass of hundreds of these fish. This mirrors my impression of Black Friday. Guess I am just not a joiner.

I can’t think of one thing worth standing in those dreadful lines. I never have and yet I have girlfriends who love it. To each their own. Sally

I was a retail manager for 40 years. Ummm no way do I join the throngs of people. And I am a on line shopper anyway.

I lament this Black Friday phenomenon reaching our shores in the U.K. because I can’t remember such a thing only a few years ago.

Watching the tv footage, I wondered just how desperate people must be for a piece of electronic equipment that they’d lose all humanity and trample over others in a dangerous surge! 🙄

Total madness!

Bad enough to receive countless emails today offering 20% off, I am tired wiping them off.

On a sobering note I wonder if the terrorist attack on London Bridge today was timed for busy shops. Sad day for Londoners.

Yes definitely a very ‘black Friday’ for those caught up in this atrocity Colette!
