Nausea and Imbruvica

I have completed 6 weeks of Imbruvica. Has worked wonders on my sinus issues. My question for those of you on this medication is concerning the nausea. I am on meds for this and does not appear to be working. Will this nausea diminish in time? Thank You

I only had some nausea twice. Most of the side effects have dimished so maybe it will.

I havent had nausea but you could try taking the tablets at a different time of day and drinking 3 litres during the day. I take mine at 8.00 in evening and eat around 6.00 pm. Might be worth experimenting with full or empty stomach. Maybe you could sleep symptoms off.

I realised if I drank plenty during the day that I was well hydrated when I take the Imbruvia.

You have my sympathy. It is horrible feeling sick. I have other issues such as pain in my muscles and joints. I have been taking the imbruvia for just over 7 weeks and the pain is improving. Hopefully you will feel better soon, Anne uk

I had really bad nausea when i first started ibrutinib. My doctor reduced the dosage of the Ibrutinib for about a month and the nausea went away. He then put me back on full dosage and i havent been nauseous every since. I hope everything works out for you. God bless.

Hi Sally, I had nausea during my early months on Ibrutinib, but it gradually eased off, without any treatment or dose reduction. The anti- nausea meds I was given for it never helped.

Side effects from Ibrutinib are extremely variable.... I hope you feel better soon.
