I+V is the future.
I'm trying to get a better understanding of the terms used. Does the below sound right?
cure = no cancer
complete remission = no detectable cancer, it may or may not be there
(article refers to 'complete remission' for I +V )
remission = your numbers are within normal range but you still have detectable cancer
I is $1K a month
V is ?
Guess we will go with the Humanized Chinese Hamster cells for older
17p- . Hope it works!

Sounds like you still continue Ibrutinib for life?
Ibrutnib may be continued if you have mrd in bone marrow at end of trial period. If you are mrd negative, meaning no cll detected, all meds are stopped. My husband was in this trial and is off all meds since January. He is doing great.
Hi Martie7,
I'm interested to hear more about your husband's experience? How long did it take for him to get to MRD negative? If you can share more details it would be greatly appreciated.
Hello rockas0183,
Not sure how much detail you want?
My husband was mrd negative at his first bmb after starting v, which was 3 months.
He had some problems while on i, afib, rash, fatigue, etc also anxiety and depression which might or might not have been caused by the meds. His dose was lowered then stopped entirely.
He stayed the whole 24 months on the v as per the protocol, without problems
He had no treatment prior to starting this trial. It was a roller coaster! But well worth it with for the excellent results.
Are you in the trial? Do you go to M D Anderson?
No I’m on watch and wait. My bloods are stable although the numbers move by a few points from time to time and I get acute flair ups with infections. I’m 48 and wondering if I would prefer to have treatment rather then spending the next 10 years struggling with tiredness and lymph’s going up and down.
Impressive!
